Have you heard the great news? The 2026 Stephanie Badulak volunteers saw 1,100 patients in 5 clinic days! Thank you to Dr. Tung Nguyen and Mrs. Lynda Davis Nguyen for leading a team of 30 volunteers, including 9 residents from jeffnortheast_emfm , our amazing nurses, physician assistants, physician assistant students, our fabulous interpreters and several student volunteers. Thank you as always to our partners the Comandos De Salvamento SA Gestión Salvamento who plan our clinic days and transport our team along with the Comandos physicians who partner with our medical professionals. Day 1 Clinic is being held in Canton El Copinol, Zacatecoluca. Courtney Ercole, Stephanie Badulak board member, and one of our lead physician assistants, is faculty at Drexel University’s physician assistant program, she not only cares for our patients, but she also mentors students interested in health care careers.

Philadelphia and Southern California volunteers meet in Miami International for the second and final leg of their trip to San Salvador. They’ll have a few hours to rest, and then head off for their first clinic day at 7:00 am tomorrow. Our volunteers are the most dedicated and hardworking group of humanitarians! Please consider making a donation to help pay for critically important medicines and medical supplies for our patients.

Dr. Joshua Pongan and Dr. Brendan Spinelli are linguistics advisors to the board of Doctors of the Americas, and the longest serving interpreters for our team with 12, and 13 years of service respectivel. They are the voices of our physicians, nurses, physician assistants and anyone on our team of volunteers needing to communicate clearly and concisely with our patients. It all started over 20 years ago with a desire to give back to others and to teach our children the importance of caring for the global community. It blossomed into life long friendships with our Salvadoran partners, de Salvamento and a 501c3 organization that is comprised completely of volunteers who donate their time and skills to help others. All donations are spent to purchase medications and medical supplies needed for our clinic days where we care for hundreds of patients a day. Please consider a donation. Stephanie Badulak

The Doctors of the Americas 2026 team of volunteers is taking care of last minute packing details before they head to El Salvador later this week. Some of our young supporters want to wish them a productive trip! Please consider making a donation to support the team. Our volunteers donate their talents and pay all their own travel expenses so that all money donated to Stephanie Badulak is spent on medication and medical supplies used to care for our patients living in extreme poverty.
