Empty Bowls Project Escuela Americana

The students of Escuela Americana of El Salvador are proud to announce that we will be hosting an Empty Bowls event this year. It will take place on March 10, 2016 in the Escuela Americana school gym. The entrance will have a fee of $10, which includes a painted gourd bowl native to El Salvador and a small dinner of soup and bread. Participants will be able to take home this bowl as a souvenir and constant reminder that there are hungry people in our country and worldwide. During the event, bowls made by professional artists will be auctioned to raise even more money. The proceeds of this event will be donated to La Posada Santa Maria and San Vicente de Paul, organizations, which are food kitchens where people can get a hot meal at no cost. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empty_Bowls
