UPDATE from Belize! 🇧🇿

We’ve been hard at work on the property getting things ready!

We have had a new pond dug to retain runoff and aid in irrigation. We are 2/3 done with a dam that will allow us better access to the back side of the property and retain spring water. We also had a dozer clear all the property boundaries.

We’ve been diving headfirst into our vanilla plantation. This vanilla has been neglected, and we’ve been clearing the area and discovering its extent. The word is that this is Mayan vanilla (as in they planted it), as this property supposedly once held a Mayan settlement……

We have also been working on the grounds and orchard. One of our neighbors was able to brush hog much of the property! We’ve also bought new fruit trees to fill in gaps in the orchard: star fruit, jackfruit, avocado, sugar apples, passion fruit, soursop, and Chaya.

We have also been working on the existing house’s solar system and wiring some new lights.

We’ve had meetings with people about solar, well drilling, house building, dirt work, and more.

A neighbor abandoned three horses on our property. We’ve been making friends and applying medication. We’re thankful that we already have easy access to water and grazing!

And today, we signed the paperwork to make the purchase official!

We are incredibly thankful to God for His blessings and for each of you who has prayed, encouraged, and supported this work. So much has already been accomplished, and none of it would be possible without your generosity and support. We’re excited to see how God will bless this property in the years ahead!

We’ve made it to Belize! We spent this afternoon walking around the property. We are beyond thankful for the opportunity God has placed before us and for so many of you that have and continue to make this a reality! More to come all week long!!!

Even with all that is happening in Nepal the Gospel is still moving forward! We are thankful for our new sister in Christ. Please continue to pray for her, the brethren, and those who have been affected by the catastrophic flooding.

We are proud and blessed by the hard work happening at TSOP! The school farm is thriving in livestock production. They currently have chickens (layers & broilers), ducks, hogs, and rabbits. The crops are also doing well and are in various stages of production.

We've been blessed to purchase the land in Belize, but the work is not over! With your help we can continue the process of getting it ready to use! We are in need of vehicles, solar, wells, building construction, dirt work, and many other things. Our desire is to make this place a home for training missionaries, strengthening Christians, and reaching the lost.

For $250,000 we can complete Phase 1 AND Phase 2!!!! That sounds like a lot, but if only 50 congregations sent a one-time donation of $5,000 it would be done! Don't have $5k just laying around? That's alright too! Each and every donation (no matter the size) helps make this dream a reality.

As many of you know we work and have a presence in Nepal. Many of you have seen the terrible and devastating flood that destroyed lives, homes, and infrastructure. While our main area of work was unaffected, we have visited and worked in this area before. Below I have shared an update from our worker in Nepal, as well as, a link to the story if you are unfamiliar. Please continue to pray for Nepal.

Dear bro. Josh,
unimaginable, massive flood has caused extensive loss of life and property. So far, 389 people are confirmed dead, and many people remain missing. Brethren of 7 congregations affected by this catastrophic flood and some members homes have been destroyed.

Around 45 brethren run for their life to high hills and They have fled towards the high ridges and steep cliffs. They remain completely out of contact.

Electricity and communication services have not yet been established there, so we have been unable to make contact. It is also impossible to travel there, the only way to reach the location is by helicopter.

UPDATES INCOMING! 📣 LONG POST❗
We were blessed to be at Polishing the Pulpt last week in Tennessee. It was great to see so many friends and supporters! We had lots of great news to share. Here is a recap in case you missed it...

1. You helped us raise $115,000 in 51 days to purchase land in Belize!!! We are now under contracts with a downpayment and are excited! We will travel there next month to close and begin the process of setting up the work. Lot's of things will need to happen to get this place operational, but with your help we have secured the location of our Missions Training Center!

2. We still have $50,000 to go to complete Phase 1. We were able to purchase the property at a lower price than advertised. Which is great! However, the work is not done yet. This will be a $500,000 project to complete over the next few years. $50,000 to finish Phase 1 will help us rehab the house, instal solar, dig a well & septic, purchase a vehicle & compressed earth machine, and begin the work.

3. We are taking another group mission trip/campaign to El Salvador next year! Many of you lamented that you were not able to travel with us this year. We want to give you another opportunity! Save the dates of June 5-12, 2027. We will travel to Apopa, El Salvador, evangelize, work in agriculture, and strengthen the church. Group size will be limited and registration will open on Nov 1. We plan to offer at least one group trip each year moving forward. We hope that you will join us!

4. Our School of Church Growth (SoCG) went live on our website. SoCG is a free one-year congregational curriculum on the New Testament church. Twelve chapters. Fifty weeks of study. A memory verse and Bible reading for every day of the year. This curriculum is designed for the whole congregation: elders, deacons, preachers, teachers, families, young people, and new Christians studying together. You can find a link in the comments. We hope that this is a blessing to you and your congregation!
