Encounter Teams are places of deep spiritual formation. From preparing and meeting together as a team, to learning from and participating with other cultures, to wrestling through the implications of what you’ve learned for your life back home — Encounter Teams provide formative community in our pursuit of life with Jesus.

As a church, we collectively pray for Encounter Teams & send them to different places to encounter God and be formed by Him. We hope that you’ll join us on January 12th to hear from some of our 2025 Participants as they share about their experiences from this past year and how they’ve seen God working in their lives. Come be part of this night!

🌎 Join us in praying for our Encounter Team in El Salvador!
✈️  From May 31 to June 6, a team of adults will be in El Salvador to learn from and serve alongside our global partner, ENLACE! This is more than service—it’s an opportunity to learn, grow, and be shaped by the global Church as we join God’s work in the world.
✝️Our hope for every Encounter Team participant is that they would be immersed and challenged to know Jesus and His Kingdom more holistically as they participate in His global mission!
🙏 Pray with us this week:
• Pray for open hearts to encounter God in new and powerful ways.
• Pray that our team can provide encouragement and joy as they learn from and build community with the local Church in El Salvador.
🩵 Thanks for partnering with us as we work towards our vision of “life with God together for the world!”

Our Encounter Team is with Border Perspective this week learning, serving, and experiencing South Texas! Join us in praying for this team!!

**To see what life at the border is like from the perspective of people who live there.**

**To see the ways in which the local church is caring for its community.**

**To see the humanity in both immigrants and border patrol agents.**

**To see how God is already active, always active, and moving there.**

**To see the person in front of them, whomever they may be.**

What a wonderful time we had at our Race & The Kingdom Panel!
Five panelists shared their experiences with culture, family & friends, and how they experienced the gospel within their unique context. Each of their live experiences was a testament to God's faithfulness.

Stillness is a skill, one that takes time and patience to develop. Being still allows us to experience God more fully. When we draw near to God, we become more available to those around us.

Overflow, the gathering of 18 to 25 year-olds here at Port City, is hosting their annual Friendsgiving meal on November 19th, and they would love your help! Feeding a Thanksgiving dinner to over 1,000 🤯 18 to 25 year-olds is no small effort, but we know we can do it together! This gathering is so important as it creates a place for the Overflow community to embrace the family of God in an intimate and formative way before leaving for Thanksgiving break. Would you consider preparing a dish to help make this night possible?

As part of our continued response to Hurricane Helene, we're hosting a Blood Drive on Monday, Nov. 4 at Port City's Wilmington Campus. Blood supplies continue to remain low, so we want to ensure that all those healing physically from the recent disasters have access to what they need. Tap the link in our bio to sign up for a time to donate!

GLORIA A DIOS 🕊️

This week in El Salvador simply cannot be summed up in one caption! Our team of 8 from Port City visited a small community in the mountains of eastern El Salvador to learn from and encourage the local church. We worked hard, listened harder, and are retuning today to the states as a changed people. We are blessed to be are leaving this week with true friendships forged in the grace of God - surpassing cultural, linguistic, and traditional differences. We truly believe that we spent this week meeting our family in Christ.
This is not the end of what you will hear about our team’s experiences! We would LOVE to tell you the stories we have seen and heard. We will see you very soon!
And, of course, thank you to our partner for an incredible link. Kimberly and Cesia - you were INCREDIBLE and we are grateful to call you our friends!
