Today, our Encounter Team is heading to Western North Carolina! ⁠
⁠
This week, they'll partner with Avery County Habitat for Humanity, helping build a home in a community still recovering from Hurricane Helene.⁠
⁠
Over the past several weeks, this team has been preparing for this experience, and today they begin the journey. As they go, we'd love for you to join us in praying for them.⁠
⁠
〰️Pray for meaningful relationships with Avery County Habitat for Humanity and the local community.⁠
〰️Pray for safety as they serve on the construction site.⁠
〰️ Pray that God would continue to shape each team member as they participate in what He is doing.

Our Family Ministry Encounter Team is serving with Lighthouse Family Retreat this week! 💙

After months of preparing, two Port City families are spending the week encouraging families impacted by childhood cancer. As they serve, we pray they'll also experience God at work in and through the people they meet.

Would you join us in praying for them this week?

Encounter Teams are places of deep spiritual formation. From preparing and meeting together as a team, to learning from and participating with other cultures, to wrestling through the implications of what you’ve learned for your life back home — Encounter Teams provide formative community in our pursuit of life with Jesus.⁠

As a church, we collectively pray for Encounter Teams & send them to different places to encounter God and be formed by Him. We hope that you’ll join us on January 12th to hear from some of our 2025 Participants as they share about their experiences from this past year and how they’ve seen God working in their lives.
