Building Food Security and Social Cohesion in Luri-Rokwe
Farm Community Organization (FCO), with funding from UNHCR, is implementing a six-month project titled “Enhancing Food Security and Social Cohesion for Refugees, Returnees, IDPs, and Host Communities in Luri-Rokwe Boma, Luri Payam, Juba County.”
The project brings communities together through agriculture, peaceful dialogue, GBV prevention, and community-based peacebuilding. It will support three farmer groups with agricultural tools and vegetable seeds, strengthen farming skills and market-oriented production, and create opportunities for refugees, returnees, IDPs and host community members to work together.
The project also integrates GBV prevention and referral information into community activities and trains farmer group members in peace mediation, with a focus on land, resource sharing and peaceful coexistence
