Community Aid for Relief and Development Organization (CARDO) is a non-profitable, non-political and non-sectarian humanitarian and development organization dedicated to working with youths, elderly, women, children in the community to reach their full potential; we are aiming at empowering communities to be free from poverty and violence through various programs that have positive impacts and sus

tainable solutions to community concerns. CARDO is one of the leading non-profitable and non-state actors in providing training in leadership development, peace building, good governance and conflict mitigation, Protection and community transformation in collaboration with other stakeholders. CARDO was initiated in October 2016 and officially registered on 13th January 2017; the organization originated in Wau – Western Bahr el Ghazal state, and seeks to cover South Sudan as a whole subject to availability of funds. CARDO focuses on working in the hard-to-reach remote rural areas in South Sudan. We seek to provide humanitarian assistance to families affected by disasters and conflicts, while partnering with the host communities for long-term solutions to alleviate poverty. CARDO is motivated by the potentials in youths, elderly, women and children; we optimize their role to foster peaceful co-existence and economic empowerment in our operational areas across the country. 📣 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
Join Our Mission to Empower Youth and Promote SRHR & GBV Awareness!

Are you passionate about art, video production, or youth empowerment? Do you want to make a real difference in your community? This is your chance to take action!

In collaboration with Shabab Le Shabab Health Alliance through funding from UNFPA, We are looking for creative and passionate volunteers to join our team in the following roles:


🎨 1. Art & Video Volunteers

Location: Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State
Commitment: Flexible
Duration: 3–6 months

Responsibilities:
• Create engaging visuals (posters, infographics, illustrations) for SRH & GBV campaigns
• Assist in filming, editing, and producing short awareness videos
• Help manage content for social media and online platforms
• Document project activities creatively through photography and video

Ideal Candidate:
• Talented in visual art, design, video production, or media
• Proficient in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or mobile editing apps
• Creative, self-motivated, and socially conscious


💬 2. Peer Educators / Youth Champions (SRH & GBV)

Location: Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State
Commitment: Community-Based
Duration: 3-6 months

Responsibilities:
• Lead peer-to-peer sessions on SRH and GBV topics in schools, youth groups, or community centers
• Raise awareness through outreach, community events, and digital platforms
• Participate in training workshops and capacity building sessions
• Act as a role model and safe space for youth seeking information or support

Ideal Candidate:
• Aged 18–24, passionate about youth empowerment, SRHR, and gender equality
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Willing to learn and share knowledge with peers
• Previous experience in youth programs is a plus, but not required
