CDE. MADHANG BRIEFS SPLM WOMEN LEAGUE ,YOUTH LEAGUE AND STATE SECRETARIAT ON JUBA SUMMIT RESOLUTIONS
RUMBEK, 26 August , 2026 – Lakes State SPLM Chairperson and Governor, Cde. Madhang Majok Meen Liol, on Wednesday met with the SPLM Women League, Youth League, and members of the State Secretariat to brief them on the outcomes of the recent SPLM National Summit held in Juba last month.
The meeting held at the State Secretariat was aimed at cascading key resolutions from the national party summit to grassroots structures in Lakes State.
Addressing party cadres, Cde. Madhang said the summit focused on strengthening the SPLM party ahead of the December 2026 General Elections. He outlined eight major resolutions adopted by the party leadership in Juba:
1. SPLM Party Organization Restructure – to streamline party organs from the national to county level for better coordination.
2. SPLM Political Future Strategies and Party Position in the Upcoming Elections – to define the party’s message and campaign approach.
3. Launching of SPLM Membership Registration – a nationwide exercise to update and expand the party register.
4. Rolling out the Official SPLM Website – to improve communication and information sharing.
5. Consolidating Party Powers at All Levels – to ensure unity and discipline within party ranks.
6. Security Sector Roles During General Elections and Responsibilities of Security Personnel – to guarantee a peaceful, secure electoral process.
7. General Elections Preparations – including voter education and logistics.
8. Responsibilities of Each and Every Party Member – emphasizing commitment, mobilization, and loyalty to party ideals.
Cde. Madhang directed the Women and Youth Leagues to take the lead in grassroots mobilization, voter education, and recruitment of new members.
“The Women and Youth are the backbone of this party. Your role in preparing our communities for the 2026 elections is critical. Let us go to the villages, explain the SPLM vision, and ensure our people are ready,” he said.
Members of the State Secretariat were also tasked with organizing trainings and follow-up meetings to ensure the summit resolutions are implemented across all counties.
The briefing ended with a call for unity and renewed commitment to the SPLM agenda of peace, development, and democratic transformation.
