In every aspect, as seen in the present situations in South Sudan due to the post 21 years of civil conflicts that killed thousands and displaced many which gradually ended finally in 2005 by signing the Comprehensive Peace Agreement and eventually the secession of SOUTH SUDAN in 2011, children spiritually, and physically have faced rough from both their own war-traumatized parents and guardians
in the society due to the 21 years of war between the Northern and Southern Sudan , they are barred from knowing God and lack care as they cannot get teachings, guidance, help and they undergo inhumanity such as beating, sexual abuse, negligence academically, being abandoned, etc. hence this made the children to grow up without knowing and fearing GOD and eventually improper conducts in the society resulting into immorality and criminality such as robbery, gangsters, unwanted pregnancies, early marriages, forced to marry, etc. To help and stop this situation, Gethsemane Kids Ministry, a non-partisan, non-racial, non-religious, non-sexes, non- tribal is founded by a group of desired heartfelt children lovers from Africa Inland Church South Sudan Nimule to teach, guide and help ALL THE CHILDREN NOT ONLY IN THE CHURCH to grow spiritually and physically upright in the Lord and the society basing on the Command from Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it” (KJV) and Ephesians 6:4 “……Teach them and instruct them about the Lord’’ (NIV)
When they are taught, instructed and help, they will know God and obey their parents and the people in the community and hereafter there will be reduced (no) crimes and immorality as they are taught at their young age leading to responsible citizenship both of the country and the kingdom of God. OBJECTIVES OF GETHSEMANE KIDS MINISTRY
• To teach and guide children to grow a respecting life and obedience to God through spiritual guiding
• To restore back the lost love through housing especially the destitute
• To build up their capacity to have hope in their future in the country
• Struggle to remove all barriers that stop children from spiritual development through sensitizing the community about the love of Jesus for the Children. (Mark 10: 13-15)
• To protect children from all forms of inhumanity and advocate for and promote their rights i.e. right to live, right to education, right to health services, right to be in a family, right to worship etc.
