Today, we celebrate not just a birthday, but a legacy in motion a visionary, a voice of the voiceless, and a true servant leader, Yamah Williams Kasara, the proud CEO of Active Youth Engagement For Peace Organization-AYEPO.

Since the outbreak of conflict in 2013, millions of South Sudanese have been forced to flee their homes seeking safety in neighboring countries like Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia, while many others remain internally displaced within our own borders.

Today, we speak not only for those still in camps, but also for the returnees our brothers and sisters who are coming back home with hope, but facing harsh realities.

These individuals are not just statistics.

They are families, children, youth, and future leaders.

🔹 Refugees continue to struggle with limited access to food, education, and healthcare.
🔹 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) face insecurity, floods, and lack of basic services.
🔹 Returnees arrive with little or nothing yet they carry the burden of rebuilding their lives from zero.

What do they truly need?

✔️ Psychosocial support to heal from trauma
✔️ Access to food, clean water, and shelter
✔️ Education opportunities, especially for children and girls
✔️ Livelihood support to regain independence
✔️ Community acceptance and peaceful reintegration

At Active Youth Engagement For Peace Organization-AYEPO, we believe that sustainable peace begins with people-centered action.

💬 We call upon:

Government institutions
Humanitarian partners like UNHCR, UNICEF, and WFP
Civil society organizations
