"THE WELCOME CEREMONY FOR THE NEWLY APPOINTED WARRAP COORDINATOR"
On the 13th of August 2026, reflect on the welcoming ceremony for a newly appointed Cde Akoon Madut Akech as Warrap’s coordinator in Juba. This is best exemplified by an official inauguration, an induction event, or a formal orientation assembly.
These events feature key traditions like an introduction speech, a symbolic handover of office, and a welcoming address by senior intellectuals and community members.
“The first source, the executive director in the office of the governor, Col Agoth Mabior Wek, attended the orientation assembly of the newly appointed chief coordinator of Warrap State.
He urged the newly appointed and the people of Warrap State that we need to embrace peace and unity among our community of Warrap State, especially in greater Tonj.
Mabior added that the Warrap State problems will be solved by a Warrap solution, meaning that the problems of Warrap State would be solved by the people of Warrap State. However, he concluded by appreciating the attendance of youth, community, and elders.
“The second source, former chief coordinator Cde Deng Papdit, has distinguished guests, colleagues, and friends. Said, it is my absolute honor to welcome you today for the welcome ceremony of our newly appointed coordinator. I am ready to formally hand over the responsibilities of this vital office to my esteemed successor, Cde Akoon Madut Akech.
Papdit told the public that my sincere thanks go first to the former governor of Warrap State, Lt Gen. Francis Marial Abur, and former governor Lt Gen. Magok Magok, and final deep appreciation to the current governor, Honorable Amb. Bol Wek Agoth, for the long period I spent working with him in the Warrap coordination office.
He said I should be an example, handing over this office successfully more than previous coordinators, and I hope my brother Akoon would do the same when he was relieved.
Papdit was concluded by saying, "I congratulate you once again on your appointment. I wish you wisdom, strength, and great success in leading this coordination office forward. Please be assured that my support remains available to you at any time you need me; I should be ready.
“An effective speech of incoming Chief Coordinator Cde Akoon Madut” should be warm, concise, and community-focused, and for the last two to three minutes; he should establish a tone of collaboration, express clear gratitude, and outline a shared vision for the Warrap community and his office subordinates.
He was saying, I am deeply honored and humbled to stand before you this morning. I wanted to thank first the governor of Warrap State, Hon Amb Bol Wek Agoth, for trusting and appointing me as Warrap’s coordinator in Juba. Madut continued, saying, my heartfelt thanks to everyone who organized this wonderful reception and to each of you for taking the time to be here. Your presence means a great deal to me, and it shows the strong spirit of unity we share in this community.
As I step into this role, my commitment is simple: an open door, honest communication, and a focus on real progress that benefits every single family here. We face important tasks ahead, but I know that by listening to one another and working side by side, we can achieve great things and leave a legacy in the Warrap Coordination Office.
Chief Akoon Madut concluded his speech by appreciating the attendance, urge to make themselves comfortable, enjoy the afternoon, and let us begin this journey together, and thanking them.
