We Together for Peace Initiative (T4PI)

A Heartbreaking Yet Hopeful Moment of Family Reunification

On 24 July 2026 in Akobo County, a mother's tears of sorrow turned into tears of joy as she was finally reunited with her abducted child.

No words can fully describe the pain of a parent living without knowing where their child is. Yet this reunion reminds us that hope can survive even the darkest moments.

We sincerely commend Save the Children, GREDO, and the local authorities of GPAA and Akobo for their dedication and tireless efforts in making this emotional reunification possible. Their commitment has restored not only a family but also hope for the future.

May every missing child find their way home, and may every family separated by conflict experience the joy of reunion. Let us continue working together to protect children, strengthen peace, and build communities where no family lives in fear.
