We mourn the tragic killing of Hon. Stephen Lowosio Lomongin, Commissioner of Kapoeta East County.
He was ambushed and lost his life while on an official visit to Kasengor.
Hon. Lomongin served Kapoeta East with dedication and courage. His commitment to peace and to his people will not be forgotten.
We were preparing to travel to Kapoeta to work alongside him. Today, we join his family, staff, and the entire Kapoeta community in grief.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Eastern Talent Awards Kapoeta Branch meets His Worship the Mayor of Kapoeta Town!

Last Wednesday we sat with the Mayor of Kapoeta Town to discuss our peace campaign and ETA’s plans for inclusive programs across Eastern Equatoria State.
ETA is expanding — now in Torit, Kapoeta, Nimule, and Magwi — because talent and peace belong to every county. Together with local leadership, we’re building platforms for youth to lead, create, and unite.
The journey for peace and talent continues. EES, we’re coming to you.

We just started this year and we’re working with limited resources and within the law, but we’re listening. Hiyala Payam had been one of our top targeted area on our heart, thanks for adding your voices. We may be small now, but we will reach there, hopefully soon.

Cultivating Inner Peace for a Peaceful Eastern Equatoria State!

The youth of Eastern Equatoria have launched a mission to respond to our community social responsibilities — and we’re starting with peace.
The truth? Too many of us are vulnerable right now. Early marriages, girls pushed out of school, and violence are tearing at us. Hunger, lost hope, and frustration have turned too many youths into tools of destruction.
But when youths are counseled and mentored, they become tools of peace.
When youths are counseled and mentored, they become leaders, not victims.
When youths are counseled and mentored, they break the cycle.
To every young person: You are not the problem. You are the plan.
Let’s listen to each other. Let’s guide each other. Our mothers are waiting to have hope in us again.
There is nothing for us, without us.
