In South Sudan, too many births still happen without a trained hand nearby. Every safe delivery is not luck — it is the result of skilled midwives, clean supplies, and a team that shows up. Today, that team was ours.

🩺 Bringing healthcare to the doorstep of those who need it most.

In the hard-to-reach areas of Malakal, ARDF's dedicated Mobile Medical Teams continue to deliver lifesaving primary healthcare services to vulnerable communities — many of whom, including the elderly, would otherwise have no access to care.
As captured here, our clinicians conduct one-on-one consultations, physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment right within the community — under shade, in local structures, wherever patients can safely be reached. Each patient is attended to with dignity, receives essential medicines on the spot, and is referred onward for specialized care whenever needed.
This lifesaving work is made possible through the generous support of the South Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SSHF) under the Standard Allocation.
No road too far. No community left behind. 💙

📢 Ongoing nOPV Round 2 Vaccination Campaign in Baliet County

The nOPV Round 2 vaccination campaign is currently underway across Baliet County, Upper Nile State. Our dedicated vaccination teams are working tirelessly to reach every eligible child with the novel Oral Polio Vaccine (nOPV), ensuring no child is left behind in the fight against polio.

We encourage all parents and caregivers to bring children under 5 years of age to the nearest vaccination team or health facility whenever the vaccinators visit your community. The vaccine is safe, effective, and free of charge, providing essential protection against poliovirus and helping to keep our communities healthy.

ARDF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, UNICEF, WHO, and other health partners, remains committed to strengthening routine immunization and protecting every child from vaccine-preventable diseases.

As part of the Health Systems Transformation Project (HSTP), funded by UNICEF /World Bank, ARDF conducted IIP (Immunization in Practice) training for health workers in Akoka County, working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the County Health Department (CHD).

The training focused on strengthening the capacity of frontline health workers to improve service delivery, enhance routine immunization practices, and support better health outcomes for communities, especially women and children.

Through continuous capacity building, ARDF remains committed to supporting quality primary health care services and strengthening the local health system in Akoka County.

As part of the Health Systems Transformation Project (HSTP), funded by UNICEF-World Bank, ARDF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the County Health Department (CHD), conducted IPC (Infection Prevention and Control) training for health workers of Malakal Teaching Hospital (MTH).

The training was facilitated by Dr. Moses, ARDF County Health Coordinator, and focused on strengthening the capacity of health workers to prevent and control infections within health facilities, improve patient safety, and promote quality health service delivery.

Through continuous capacity building of frontline health workers, ARDF remains committed to supporting stronger, safer, and more resilient health systems in Upper Nile State.
