Women Advancement Organization South Sudan Women Advancement Organization (WAO) IS a national non-profit Organization (NNGO), founded in 2012 in Juba, South Sudan.

Women Advancement Organization (WAO) was founded in 2012 at Gudele II Juba by a group of community Social Workers, God fearing and loving people to ensure the lives of women and girls become sustainable in our society. It was purposely established to empower and support vulnerable and marginalized women and venerable groups in society, improve their livelihoods and sustain their lives through rigo

rous vocational/practical trainings in life skills. Women Advancement Organization is legally registered as a National Organization to operate in South Sudan by the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, the registration No. 2059, South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) registration No. 515, and as well has recommendations from the ministry of Gender and child social welfare.

A great achievement made in 2025, WAO in partnership with ADRA South Sudan - Terkeka and Eastern Equatoria State. A bottom top approach of mapping issues that affect education in most areas of south Sudan,
Many events were organized, Stake holders mapping, Workshops, Dialogues, , Conference, Bilaws review, presentations, talkshow, etc were successful, communities of Eastern Equatoria State insisted on review of Bylaws to promote inclusive quality education and ending early girl child marriage! Interestingly, the communities participated from a common man at grass root, women, youth, children, teachers, chiefs, commissioners, ministers, Members of Parliament, Senior advisor to the Governor, the Governor himself etc, We pray to begin creating awareness and the implementation very soon!

This training was aimed at strengthening the leadership, Accountability and strategic plan in the decision making.

WAO - GOVERNANCE AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING.

Women Advancement Organization Board of Directors and Staffs had an opportunity for a training with the support of on Governance and Leadership training.

This training is facilitated by Safeguarding Solutions.

Yesterday Monday the 19th May marked the first day of the training and it all went on well with so much learning.
