Women Advancement Organization (WAO) was founded in 2012 at Gudele II Juba by a group of community Social Workers, God fearing and loving people to ensure the lives of women and girls become sustainable in our society. It was purposely established to empower and support vulnerable and marginalized women and venerable groups in society, improve their livelihoods and sustain their lives through rigo

rous vocational/practical trainings in life skills. Women Advancement Organization is legally registered as a National Organization to operate in South Sudan by the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, the registration No. 2059, South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) registration No. 515, and as well has recommendations from the ministry of Gender and child social welfare.
