In collaboration with Reliable Refugee Storytellers we are documenting 750 South Sudanese names, in consultation with community elders of 15 South Sudanese Dialects, this is an excise with an intent to continue preserving, archiving and documenting our stories and culture!

We are having all of this content available on the various Wikimedia Foundation platforms/projects but this one specifically will be on Wikidata.

Open Knowledge South Sudan via the Wikimedia Community user group South Sudan began by launching the Oral History 2024/25 project to preserve the voices of our communities. The project was based on preserving stories, songs and creatives from the various cultures in South Sudan, we have had an interaction with 11 tribes already and hope to continue with the rest and this has been with amazing support from the Wikimedia Foundation and partners Reliable Refugee Storytellers Association
