At Angon-Dong in Warrap State, communities are learning that good nutrition is not only about knowing *what* to eat, but also *how* to prepare healthy meals using locally available foods.
Through practical cooking demonstrations, beneficiaries are shown how to properly wash, cut, and cook vegetables in ways that are tasty, affordable, and help preserve important nutrients. The sessions create a hands-on learning experience where participants can see, do, and taste for themselves — helping bridge the gap between *“I know healthy eating is important”* and *“I know how to prepare a healthy meal with what I have at home.”*
The demonstrations also provided a space for beneficiaries to share their own experiences, ideas, and local vegetables available in their households and communities, encouraging peer learning and community participation.
Keeping the sessions simple, practical, and focused on key nutrition messages helps families adopt healthier feeding practices that can improve nutrition outcomes for children and households across the community.
