The Zayed Sustainability Prize is the UAE's pioneering global award that recognizes and rewards small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs), nonprofit organizations (NPOs), and global high schools with impactful, innovative, and inspiring sustainable solutions
The Prize honors the humanitarian and sustainability legacy of the UAE's founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. To date, we have awarded 139 winners and through them we have transformed the lives of over 400 million people
Prize Categories
The prize distributes its US ($7.2) million fund across six specific categories: Health, Food, Energy, Water, Climate Action and Global High Schools
With a total fund of US $7.2 million, winners in each of the five organizational categories receive US $1 million, while Global High Schools winners receive US $150,000 to implement or expand student-led projects in their communities. Organizational finalists receive US $100,000, and Global High Schools finalists receive US $25,000. Submissions for the US ($7.2) million prize fund remain open until June 15, 2026. Winners will be celebrated at an award ceremony in Abu Dhabi in January 2027
