Safer storage, better access. Our team visited warehouses in Rumbek and Wau undergoing renovation to improve the storage of health and nutrition supplies.The upgraded facilities will help prevent leakages, keep essential supplies safer, and ensure better access of the items needed to serve children and families. .

Every dose of Vitamin A is a small step towards helping children grow healthy, strong and happy. In Kapoeta East County, UNICEF is working with Ministry of Health - Republic of South Sudan to give Vitamin A and medicine to protect children from disease and worms. Every community deserves quality healthcare. In Malakal, Upper Nile State, a joint Ministry of Health -Republic of South Sudan and UNICEF team saw the realities facing health workers and communities, including water shortage and lack of essential health equipment. Alongside Ministry of Health officials, UNICEF Deputy Representative for Programmes, Tedla Damte visited Malakal Teaching Hospital and Assosa Primary Health Care facilities and reviewed progress under the Health Sector Transformation Project ( ).A new medical supplies warehouse was also opened to help ensure medicines, vaccines, nutrition supplies and emergency health items reach children and community members. Together, we can strengthen health services, support health workers and bring care closer to everyone.

Today, clean water flows where once there was just hope. 💧 In Malek, Jonglei State, the community shared a simple but vital need: clean water. Ihuro, 19, from South Sudan, has seen how climate shocks can disrupt school, deepen hunger and force families from their homes. But she has also seen what happens when communities are supported early.

Education continues to be under threat due to conflict, and children are affected in Chumedi Payam, a remote community in Renk, Upper Nile. UNICEF and United Nations OCHA South Sudan are working with the Government of South Sudan in providing teaching and learning materials. More resources are needed to learn in safe spaces
