Alleviate Africa Feat Africa is a non-profit organization that was founded in South Sudan in 2013 as Hope for African Transformational Services (HATS).

Alleviate is a purpose-driven non-profit organization dedicated to elevating deprived people across Africa through improving access to safe water, quality health, economic empowerment and discipleship. Currently, we operate in South Sudan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. FEAT AFRICA exists to provide spiritual and physical services to people affected by poverty, disease and famine, by improving Health (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Livelihood (Food, gastronomic fuel, habitation) and Education (Discipleship, health and Tuition) of the unreached, and vulnerable communities.

While 84% of infants globally recieve their immunization dosages at the right time, thousands of children in EastAfrica receive zero dosage leaving them unprotected from preventable tragedies.

Through our maternal child care program, we work closely with local health centers and trained personnel to provide regular immunization services for babies from birth throughout the completion of all their scheduled vaccinations ensuring they are protected and given the best possible start in life.

Did you know that maternal health is in a state of crisis in East Africa.

In Koboko District which is showing a path forward, where the mortality rates are around 280 per 100,000 live births.

Alleviate medical center has become a vital cross-border lifeline, treating local mothers alongside refugees escaping crises in South Sudan and the DRC.

We must continue to advocate for stronger healthcare systems, trained midwives, and emergency obstetric care in conflict-affected regions.

Every mother deserves a safe birth.

A water point can keep a girl in school.

In many of the communities we serve, girls are the ones who miss class to fetch water. When a WASH-in-schools project brings clean water and proper sanitation onto school grounds, that equation changes to fewer missed lessons and more girls staying enrolled.

By building boreholes in communities is equally built around that fact. To see every girl getting equal opportunities to education as boys.

Water doesn't ask what side you're on. Neither does a fever.

On this International Day of Peace, we're reminded that the communities we serve across South Sudan and beyond include families who have fled conflict and families hosting them.

A borehole doesn't check where you're from. A health center doesn't ask what happened before you walked in.

Clean water and quality care are common ground, in places that need it most.

The biggest health conversations happen in wrong places.

When most people talk about health services in their homes, school and work it assumes they are all receiving quality healthcare and to them they believe that is a reality to everyone.

But for the people in Koboko and the surrounding areas that reality is a dream.

They often times walk distances to find the nearest medical facility which they could find without medicines or trained personnels.

Othertimes they just don't seek medical care because they can't afford the bills.

Years ago we established the Koboko medical center to bring quality and affordable healthcare to the people the communities and we are proud to see how the health of communities has improved and a reduced maternal and infant death.
