The Center for Peace and Advocacy (CPA) Welcomes NEC's Commitment to Strengthening the Electoral Process
June 16th, 2026 (Juba)- The Center for Peace and Advocacy (CPA) warmly welcomes the recent step taken by the National Elections Commission (NEC) and commends its commitment to advancing an inclusive, transparent, and credible electoral process.
CPA believes that the measures communicated by the NEC are essential to fostering public confidence and ensuring meaningful citizen participation in the democratic process
The organization emphasizes that sustained investment in public awareness campaigns, civic and voter education, and comprehensive voter registration initiatives is critical to the success of the electoral process.
To achieve free, fair, transparent, and credible elections, CPA calls upon the government, development partners, and relevant stakeholders to provide adequate funding and logistical support for electoral preparations.
