EMPOWERING YOUTH/WOMEN, TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES!
In Sukgama Centre, Hai Seminary, Munuki Payam, Juba, South Sudan, there is a silent crisis that is being alleviated. Yet, the youth, women, particularly single mothers, face extreme levels of poverty, lack of food, poor mental health, and many other challenges. However, in the midst of these issues, hope is being ignited by “Strategy for Realization of Humanity” or SRH.
With the help of our amazing friends and Board of Trustees, we have also launched a game-changing project where we were able to equip the 4 vulnerable community members (2 young men under the age of 25 and 2 ladies) with business capital boosts and guidance on how to launch their business initiatives. Objective: Shattering the poverty cycle and resilience during the tough South Sudan economy.
However, there is more! We also provided a vocational skills training workshop in Sukgama, training young people in furniture production and empowering them with the skills required to succeed. The program will:
- Employment generation
- Fight food scarcity
- Less substance abuse and mental illness
