TEYA & TEGA YOUTH LEADERS’ CONFERENCE ENDS SUCCESSFULLY IN GULU, UGANDA
The Office of the Secretary for Information, TEYA–Juba, is pleased to inform the Twic East community, friends, and the general public that the TEYA & TEGA Youth Leaders’ Conference held in Gulu, Uganda concluded successfully under the theme: “Unity in Action, Strength in Purpose.”
The conference brought together youth leaders, intellectuals, students, and community representatives to discuss youth empowerment, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and practical skills needed to transform society.
During the conference, the Chairman of TEYA, Cde William Deng Jr Kuir Bul, emphasized the importance of organization, capacity building, technical skills, and self-reliance among the youth. He encouraged young people to embrace vocational and modern technical skills such as AI, electrical studies, AC repair, hotel management, beauty and hairdressing, computer studies, and boat building as pathways to economic empowerment and community transformation.
The Chairman further highlighted that empowerment begins with unity, leadership, and organized community structures capable of identifying and addressing societal challenges.
TEYA leadership appreciates all delegates, organizers, youth leaders, partners, and members of the Twic East community who contributed to the success of the conference. The engagement, ideas shared, and commitments demonstrated during the gathering reflect a promising future for the youth and the community at large.
The conference ended in an atmosphere of unity, cooperation, and renewed commitment toward empowering the next generation of leaders.
