September has been an incredible month of action and ground-level impact!

Center for Strengthening Community Voices-CSCOV South Sudan in partnership with Women's International Peace Centre is currently supporting dynamic young women representing Raja, Jur, and Wau as they conduct Community Action Research.

These young researchers are documenting and analyzing local conflict dynamics, tracking community peacebuilding efforts, and highlighting critical governance issues that directly affect women and their communities.

This research initiative directly stems from the Young Women’s Institute on Gender-Responsive Conflict Analysis and Peacebuilding convened earlier in June this year.

It’s inspiring to see these young leaders step up, take ownership, and transform their learning into real evidence-based advocacy for peace and governance.

Empowering Youth Leaders to Drive Change

We're thrilled to share that one of our team members Niama Gr Ace is participating in the Public Narrative Youth Advocacy Training organized by Oxfam in Africa Oxfam in South

Through this interactive workshop, Youth leaders are learning to harness the power of storytelling, building solidarity and shared purpose and taking action for our communities.

The public Narrative Youth Advocacy Training forms a core pillar of Oxfam"s broader Youth engagement agenda, through a multi-country programs like the AU-EU Youth Voices Lab-Power of the collective initiative.

Connecting community voices directly to leadership through the airwaves! 🎙️📻

Through our radio talkshow series, CSCOV is using the airwaves to connect grassroots community voices directly with key decision-makers and the public.

During our live broadcast, decision-makers from government institutions and non-profit organizations came together to share insights and provide direct responses to questions from listeners across the community. From shared challenges to community-driven solutions, every voice brings us closer to positive change because when we listen to the community, real solutions begin.

Listen to the powerful, spoken-word performance of Carmela Santion, one of our brilliant young awardees (recognized as Best Poet 🏆) at the recent Arts & Culture for Democracy Event in Wau!

Through her poetry, Carmela reminds us that leadership and democratic participation aren't things we wait for they belong to the youth, and they belong to us right now. When young people raise their voices, they shape the destiny of our nation.

This initiative was successfully organized under the "Women Lead Now" project by the Center for Strengthening Community Voices-CSCOV South Sudan

We are deeply grateful for the continuous support of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) South Sudan under the EU in South Sudan funded "Raising Civic Voices" project, helping us create vital spaces where youth and women can lead the democratic conversation.

Celebrating Talent, Inclusion, and Leadership!

Today, we are incredibly proud to spotlight Jubai Baptist , a phenomenal representative of persons with disabilities, who was recently honored 🏆 by Center for Strengthening Community Voices-CSCOV South Sudan

Jubai was awarded for her powerful, original music championing women’s rights to equal participation at all levels of society. last week during the Arts and Culture Event for Democracy, she took the stage and absolutely blew the audience away with her immense talent, passion, and creativity. 🎤🎶

True democracy means ensuring every voice is heard. Jubai is living proof that leadership and advocacy come in many beautiful forms.

We are incredibly honored to share this video of the representative from Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Mr. Alimure Ali recognizing the outstanding implementation of our 4-month project: "Strengthening Young Women’s Participation in Political Processes and Politics."

This recognition is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and passion of everyone involved. Over the last four months, CSCOV has been dedicated to breaking barriers and creating spaces where young women can lead, influence, and drive real political change.

Through this initiative, CSCOV successfully equipped and empowered young women and Young Men to take their rightful place in political processess and decision-making bodies. We are deeply grateful to FES and EU in South Sudan for their steadfast support and collaboration in making this project a resounding success.
