Children's Voice Alliance proudly recognizes and appreciates the outstanding humanitarian efforts of AID LINK ORGANIZATION in supporting vulnerable communities in Akobo County during this challenging period.
As families continue to recover and rebuild their lives after returning to their homes, many are still facing severe food insecurity, limited access to basic services, and difficult living conditions caused by ongoing humanitarian challenges and impassable roads during the rainy season.
With support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), AID LINK ORGANIZATION has received vegetable seeds, agricultural tools, and fishing kits that will benefit 750 vulnerable individuals and households. These critical livelihood inputs will help families improve food production, enhance nutrition, generate income, and strengthen their resilience.
We commend AID LINK ORGANIZATION for its commitment to ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most, including the use of air cargo services to overcome access constraints and deliver life-saving support to vulnerable communities.
Children’s Voice Alliance also extends its sincere appreciation to FAO for its continued partnership and dedication to improving food security and livelihoods in Akobo County. Collaborative efforts like these are essential to building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities for children and their families.
Together, we can create a future where every child and every family has the opportunity to thrive.

Aid workers are not the target 🎯

NORTHERN JONGLEI CRISIS

It is with deep sadness and serious concern that we confirm the looting and destruction of AID LINK ORGANIZATION’s field office in Walgak, Akobo West, during the ongoing insecurity in the area.

AID LINK ORGANIZATION constructed this base office in Walgak to strengthen and support our emergency response operations across Northern Jonglei, particularly in Uror and Nyirol counties, where humanitarian needs remain critical and life-threatening.

Learning that this facility has been looted and destroyed is not only painful, it is a major setback to humanitarian work in the region. Field offices are not simple structures that can be replaced overnight.
They take time, resources, community engagement, and significant logistical effort to establish, especially in hard-to-reach areas like Northern Jonglei. When humanitarian infrastructure is attacked, the real cost is paid by vulnerable families who depend on timely assistance.

Most concerning of all, our staff were forced to flee for safety and have moved for approximately 36 hours on foot in search of a secure location. This is unacceptable. No humanitarian worker should ever be placed in such danger for simply doing their job.

We strongly reaffirm that
Humanitarian workers are not a target. 🎯
Humanitarian offices are not a battlefield.
Humanitarian assets are not spoils of war.

We call on all actors and all communities to respect humanitarian space, protect aid workers, and safeguard humanitarian facilities and supplies. The safety of humanitarian personnel and the protection of humanitarian assets must be guaranteed at all times.

AID LINK ORGANIZATION remains committed to supporting affected communities across Northern Jonglei, but we also emphasize that humanitarian response cannot continue where aid workers are threatened, attacked, or forced to run for their lives.

We stand with our staff and all humanitarian workers who continue to serve under extreme risk.

We call for urgent measures to ensure their safety and dignity.
Enough is enough.

Children’s Voice Alliance stands in solidarity with AID LINK Organization and frontline humanitarian workers in Northern Jonglei State.
In times of conflict and displacement, children are the most affected and the most vulnerable. Ensuring access to protection, essential services, and dignity for children and their families is not optional. It is urgent.
We commend the teams on the ground who continue to serve communities under extremely difficult conditions. Standing with children in crisis is a shared responsibility.

In the midst of conflict, fear, and deep uncertainty in Northern Jonglei State, AID LINK Organization remains present and operational. When communities are pushed to the margins by violence and displacement, we do not step back. We step forward.
Our teams on the ground continue to move from location to location, navigating insecurity and difficult conditions to ensure life-saving humanitarian assistance reaches the most vulnerable families. For communities affected by conflict, access to food, protection, and essential services is not a choice. It is a lifeline.
This work is demanding and often carried out under immense pressure, but it is necessary. It is driven by our commitment to humanity, dignity, and the principle that no one should be left behind because of where they live or the crisis they face.
We extend our deepest appreciation to our frontline workers across the three locations in Northern Jonglei. Your courage, resilience, and compassion are the reason hope continues to reach those who need it most.
Standing with communities in times of crisis is not a statement. It is our responsibility.

URGENT: 87,000 People Displaced in Northern Jonglei Duk county 🆘

Right now, 87,000 people in northern Jonglei are displaced with no access to humanitarian assistance. Families are facing shortages of food, clean water, shelter, and medical support. This crisis cannot be ignored.
As humanitarian partners and global citizens, we must ask:
➡️ How do we ensure aid reaches those in need?
➡️ How do we open safe access routes for humanitarian convoys?
➡️ How do we support local responders and affected communities now?
What we can do together:
• Advocate with decision-makers for protected access and secure humanitarian corridors
• Support agencies on the ground with funding, supplies, and logistics
• Prioritize water, food, health, and protection services for displaced families
• Amplify their voices so the world cannot look away
This is a human crisis. No one should be left without help.

📍 Northern Jonglei State | Humanitarian Concern
The ongoing conflict in Northern Jonglei continues to punish those who have no voice in decisions that shape their lives.
Women and children, who take no part in political or military decisions made by men, armed actors, or heads of families, are once again paying the highest price. Thousands are fleeing from location to location in search of safety, moving from Northern Jonglei to Central Jonglei with nothing but fear and uncertainty.
Children and mothers are walking long distances without food, without clean drinking water, and without a safe place to sleep after exhausting journeys. Childhood is being replaced by survival.
As Children’s Voice Alliance, we are deeply concerned about the future of these children and their mothers, especially at a time when humanitarian activities are suspended. Every delay increases the risk of hunger, disease, trauma, and loss of life.
This moment calls for action, not silence.
👉 What can we do as humanitarian partners to respond to the urgent needs on the ground?
👉 How can access be restored to ensure protection, food, water, and shelter for the most vulnerable?
Children deserve safety. Mothers deserve dignity. Peace must mean protection for those who carry no weapons.
