g sustainable utilization of environment including water resources, agriculture, fisheries and related sectors for socio-economic benefit of all generations – for better human health, terrestrial ecosystems and biodiversity. It is a national NGO formed with the consent, enthusiasm and commitment of its members to deal with the looming environmental, water, adverse climatic and socio-economic problems facing the country and with an ultimate goal to establish sustainable solutions and improved quality of human life by creating working environment that promotes productivity. Objectives

 To Help people understand the background for climate changes globally and in their own community by giving signs of its prevalence.
 To identify good practices for climate change adaptation and mitigation through case studies and therefore help communities to mitigate and adapt to effects of climate change using local solutions.
 To research (information gathering – data, systematic observation and monitoring) and advice on the effectiveness of adaptation and mitigation strategies to climate change.
 To advocate for environmental protection through the promotion of alternative energy sources that are environmental friendly and sustainable.
 Waste management and pollution control (deal with environmental issues such as wastewater treatment and management, solid waste, air pollution and industrial and hazardous waste treatment and management);
 Flood control through building of valley dams for storage of excess water, simple d***s, deltas development and management, water harvest systems, trees planting.
 Afforestation and green revolution to modify the adverse climatic situation;
 Renewable energy (Biogas, biomass) as alternative source of energy to replace fossil fuels.
 To provide mitigation strategies including early warning systems for extreme events, better water management (flood), improved risk management, various insurance options and biodiversity conservation.
 Development and management of water resources to address the challenges posed by climate variability as a result of climate change.
 Development of fisheries and support to agribusiness initiatives of local farmers to improve on productivity hence moving towards commercial agriculture and achieve national food security targets.
 To ensure the recovery and record of historical climate data; building of support among the user communities that have a demand for climate information and promoting greater collaboration between the providers and users of climate information.
 To contribute to the development of innovative approaches to the provision of adequate and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene services in local communities.
 Construction, distribution and provision of safe clean water to the communities in adequate quantities and reasonable costs, and thereby control and combat water related diseases.
