Isaiah Diing Abraham Chan Awuol (IDACA) Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims at building progressive societies in South Sudan, Africa, and the rest of the developing world at large. IDACA was formed mainly to advocate for progressivism: an idea of progress in which advancements in science, technology, economic development and social organization are vital to the improvement of the hum
an condition. Vision: Build progressive societies in Africa and rest of the developing world through social reform. Mission: The goal of advancing improvements in societies will be achieved by advocating for quality education; Judicial reform, information ‘richness’ women empowerment, good governance and legal protection. IDACA will achieve the overarching goals with the following specification objectives:
Provide scholarships to students from humble background;
Advocate for the reforms in the judiciary so that citizens can get justice;
Provide access to information online, books and printed media so that people get be informed (Information ‘richness’);
Advocate for the end of early child marriages, domestic violence and forced marriage (empower women/);
Organize workshops, training and lectures courses on good governance;
Provide legal services to citizens for those who cannot afford the fee, on pro bono basis. Management Structure of IDACA Foundation
On Top of the management structure is the board of trustees tasked with creating and articulating the vision: building progressive societies. The board work close with the coalition of stakeholders (The stakeholders’ coordination council, SCC) comprising of the representatives of the government, parents, traditional elders, CSOs, and law enforcing agencies amongst others. The council with the technical support of the public information Department helps to communicate the vision. The secretary general of the Board is the Executive Director of the project who is tasked with providing leadership of the project as well as providing technical and financial
resources to other departments: Finance, scholarship, legal, resources mobilization and Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E). The Scholarship Unit facilitates the education of girls who have demonstrated wiliness to study but their parents are not able to provide education. The Mentoring and Evaluation (M&E) Department is responsible for tracking progress: improvements and challenges

IDACA OFFERS THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:
1. Access to scholarships. We sponsor academically gifted students but lack the funding for their education and also, we connect our students to other scholarships.
2. Coaching and mentorship
We have designed and run capacity-building programs for students, which aim at impacting soft skills to our students. These soft skills focus on students learning how to be innovative, Planning, organizing, executing, and management.
3. Internship
We are a progress-oriented organization, and we provide support to our students to get internship opportunities, in order to acquire the skills needed for them to succeed in the job market.
4. Information riches (NETWORKING)
We believe in the power of information and networking; therefore, we provide access to online information, online books, and printed media. Organizing webinars, networking events, and leadership boot camps.
