IFCOM Takes Center Stage in Discussing Women’s Affairs at FEMNET Regional Feminist Leadership and Cross-Country Learning Lab in Nairobi.

Illiteracy Free Community Organization-IFCOM, South Sudan, took center stage at the FEMNET Regional Feminist Leadership and Cross-Country Learning Lab held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 10th to 13th March 2026. The event brought together leaders, civil society organizations, and community advocates from across the region to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and strengthen collaborative approaches to community-driven advocacy.

Priscilla Ayuen, an award-winning author, spoken word poet, and Education Coordinator at IFCOM, represented the organization at the learning lab. Her participation highlighted IFCOM’s continued commitment to amplifying voices that champion women’s empowerment, education, and community transformation in South Sudan and beyond.

IFCOM actively contributed to conversations addressing key aspects of women’s rights and empowerment. These included advocacy for equitable access to education, the promotion of justice and legal protection for women and girls, economic empowerment, gender equality, and the advancement of women’s leadership in community and national decision-making spaces.

Enlightening for impactful society.
