Under the NORAD Project, ACRA, together with local authorities and Beneficiary Selection Committees, conducted a consultative meeting on the formation of Farmer Field Schools (FFS).

The meeting brought key stakeholders together to discuss the establishment of the groups and strengthen community participation ahead of upcoming agricultural activities.

Through Farmer Field Schools, farmers will have opportunities to learn, share practical knowledge, and strengthen sustainable farming practices within their communities.

ACRA joined communities in Panyikang County to commemorate World Humanitarian Day, celebrating the dedication of humanitarian workers serving communities affected by crisis.

The day also included a courtesy visit from OCHA, together with ACRA Manager David Isreal, providing an opportunity to engage with teams and witness ongoing humanitarian efforts in the county.

Under the NORAD Project, ACRA successfully conducted training for Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) Agents to strengthen their capacity to support community savings groups.

The training covered core VSLA principles, roles and responsibilities, code of conduct, group management, and financial record keeping—equipping agents with practical knowledge to guide groups towards stronger and more sustainable livelihoods.

Under the NORAD Project, ACRA successfully conducted training for Agricultural Extension Agents on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), covering land preparation, crop management, soil and water conservation, pest management, and post-harvest handling.

Alongside the training, our Protection and WASH teams continued community visits, sharing key messages on healthy hygiene practices, confidentiality, and protection.

Through this integrated approach, we are strengthening local capacity while supporting safer, healthier, and more resilient communities.

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) distributions in Central Payam and Eastern Payam, Malakal County today.

With support from the Beneficiary Selection Committees and our dedicated field staff, we reached 200 registered households with assistance.

The distributions were conducted peacefully, in line with the agreed targeting criteria and accountability procedures.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the RRC and community leaders for their coordination and support, which ensured a smooth and dignified process.

Together, we’re supporting families to meet their urgent needs. ❤️

Under the NORAD Project, ACRA’s FSL and WASH teams continued integrated community awareness activities in Malakal.

Together with VSLA Facilitators and Agricultural Extension Agents, the FSL team engaged households on the importance of farming in strengthening food security and livelihoods. Meanwhile, the WASH team promoted essential hygiene and sanitation practices to help prevent waterborne diseases and support healthier households.

Through integrated programming, we are strengthening community knowledge and supporting healthier, more resilient livelihoods.

Under the NORAD Project, ACRA conducted household and trader assessments to inform the planning of Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA).

The assessments explored household needs and purchasing power alongside market availability, prices, and trader capacity, helping determine whether local markets can effectively support cash-based assistance.

The findings will help ensure that future MPCA interventions are responsive to community needs and grounded in local market conditions.
