Community Hygiene Volunteers proudly shared their experiences and responsibilities with representatives of the South Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SSHF) United Nations OCHA South Sudan during a monitoring visit to the nutrition site, where MTA successfully constructed a sanitation facility to improve hygiene and public health outcomes. Through the project, volunteers acquired valuable knowledge and skills in hygiene promotion, community mobilization, and disease prevention, enabling them to serve as key agents of positive behavioral change within their communities.
The construction of the latrine has significantly enhanced access to safe sanitation services for nutrition beneficiaries, contributing to improved hygiene practices, reduced health risks, and a cleaner environment. These achievements were made possible through the active participation, commitment, and ownership demonstrated by community members throughout the project implementation process.
MTA extends its sincere appreciation to the local communities for their collaboration and dedication, which have been instrumental in the project's success. We also gratefully acknowledge the generous financial support of the South Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SSHF), whose contribution has strengthened community resilience and improved the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.
