ππππ, πππ ππ, ππππ β The Chairperson of Apuk Youth Union (AYU) in Juba, Agany Geng Ayiei, on Saturday morning met with the newly established βAYU Peace and Reconciliation Committeeβ (AYU-PRC) at Rio Hotel in Juba.
The committee, headed by Gom Reech Gom, popularly known as Albino Manut Young, was officially entrusted with powers and terms of reference by the AYU Executive Body to spearhead efforts aimed at promoting peace, reconciliation, and unity among the youth of the Apuk Community.
According to the directives issued by the leadership, the committee is mandated to prepare a concept note, engage relevant stakeholders within the community, and organize a two-day consultative meeting where members of the community will deliberate on peace, unity, and the possible way forward for the youth.
The committee is also expected to compile and submit a detailed report containing resolutions, recommendations, and agreed action points from the consultative meeting to the AYU Executive Committee for further consideration and implementation.
Speaking during the meeting, members of the committee accepted the responsibility and pledged their commitment to work diligently toward achieving lasting peace and unity within the community.
On his part, Chairperson Agany Geng Ayiei reaffirmed the willingness of the AYU leadership to support all efforts geared towards sustainable peace, reconciliation, and unity among the youth of the Apuk Community.
