SUB: DECLARATION OF MY CANDIDACY AS AN ASPIRING CHAIRPERSON FOR MAKUACH ATHIAN YOUTH'S ASSOCIATION - JUBA (MAYA)

Dear Hon. Members of General Assembly,
I'm by name Majok Mareng Akuei , a patriotic and proud son of Makuach Athian. I'm studying at the University of Juba, Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Social Work, third year Student.
Dear General Assembly of Makuach Athian Youth Association, it has been quite a lengthy time we had spent lobbying and campaigning due to other circumstances within the outgoing leadership. I appreciated your time you have been given to me for the very beginning up to date. Sincerely, I'm so delighted with a systematic kind of campaign we had so far which has not generated insults and bullying towards any individual or group amongst the Candidates contesting, nor voters, it's more peaceful and brotherly kind of campaign. We must be proud of that as a Youth/community of Makuach Athian. Therefore, your patience and believe has brought about the today result which has navigated the way towards Election which is expected to go down on 12th of October, 2025 at 9:00 AM, Millennium Hall.
Dear Hon. GA, I'm humbly requesting your valuable votes at this stage where I will translate my objectives into the meaningful action. I will and shall never work outside the box for the assurance I made. My work will align with the will and interest of General Assembly of MAYA in order to reflect ethics and values of MAYA.
My previous experience with community and students where I served at different capacities in Aweil with youth and sports leadership at community level, I served as head boy at Alliance Secondary school earlier 2018-2019, Special Advisor for Abiem Student's association in Aweil Town 2019-2021, and had served in various roles with National and International Non Governmental Organization. With my diverse experiences with community and during my high school, I'm confident that MAYA will be in next stage where unity will be strengthened, ensure youth are empowered through education, skills and development, promoting equality within the members through just and fair distribution of services, including our ladies into leadership for the growth of our community, Mobilizing enough resources to facilitate youth activities in Juba and grassroot if necessary ensuring accountability and transparency as a key aspect of unique leadership, and timely and peaceful transition of leadership as per constitution of MAYA.
Dear Hon. GA, don't vote for me because I'm a good speaker, vote for me because I'm a good listener. All the youth concerns are to be taken into consideration, I usual interact with youths, share emotions kind of conversation, and almost friends to all them. Therefore, giving me your votes is a half-solved of our problems as a youth of Makuach Athian, my action will speak louder and youth will understand their hidden roles and responsibilities to take towards a united and progressive Makuach Athian where disunity and hatred will be of the past.
