Over 20 people are missing following two armed attacks along the Lui-Juba road in Western Equatoria State.

• In one incident, gunmen intercepted two vehicles carrying mourners, torching the cars and abducting the passengers.

Apple launches iPhone 18 Pro with upgraded camera

Apple launched its latest Pro phones, the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, today at its fall “Surprise and Shine” iPhone event. While the design of the phones remains the same as the earlier model, the upgraded cameras are the highlight of the new devices.

The new Pro series camera features a 48-megapixel camera with variable aperture, made with six thin blades. This system will likely improve low-light photography quality and speed. There are also new pro controls in the camera software, including white balance, shutter speed, aperture and histogram. There are also new photographic styles with texture and grain controls.

The iPhone 18 Pro costs $1,199, and the 18 Pro Max costs $1,299, which is $100 more than last year’s devices. People can pre-order the devices on Saturday, and the devices will be available on September 18.

BREAKING NEWS: Former Petroleum Official Mayen Wol Jong Dies in Nairobi

Former senior South Sudanese government official Mayen Wol Jong has died in Nairobi, Kenya, while undergoing medical treatment at a hospital.

His death was confirmed by three high-profile individuals, while funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by his family.

Mayen Wol Jong previously served as Chief Administrator in the Office of the President and Undersecretary in the Ministry of Petroleum. He also worked as a Technical Adviser in the Ministry of Petroleum, building a long career in government and South Sudan’s oil sector.

His passing has triggered messages of condolences from colleagues, government officials, friends, and members of the public.

Life in Libya is a tragedy.

Many young people tried to risk their life for a better or worse future.
This journey is either "Succeed or perished in trial," but God forbid, we would like to see them all succeed.

This guy with the picture below is brother. We last communicate in February 2025.
It was in match 2025 that i was informed by our young brother who was with him in Libya that he was missing for 4 days since he went out for the hustling life they're through in Libya and he left his phone home, there's no any other means to reach him or know his whereabout.
As the family, we tried all the possible means to find him, but it's all in vain.
We haven't heard about him since that time until now. The family is in a great worry to know if he's dead or alive, but there's no news of those kinds.

According to the boys, their expectations on the missing of Luah G*i Nyak might happen to the point that involves the Libyan boys who went to them where they normally go for the search of casual works, the Libyan boys tried to scared them with guns inorder for them to surrender their belongs including their telephones, Luah G*i Nyak act ferociously and confiscated the gun in the hand of the Libyan boy.
They took the gun and reported to the Libyan that they were renting his home, and the Libyan took the gun to the nearby police for owners to find it there.
on the next day, another boys came with a taxi and picked Luah alone among his brothers to go and the casual work in their home. It was on that day that Luah G*i Nyak didn't return home.

We appeal to the Nuer community to help us find where our missing boys and girls are. It's LUAH alone, but many are missing. We can reach out to the Libyan government to protect the migrants in their country.
