Meeting: First General Meeting of the Third Term

Dear all members of Paliet Students Association,

The Information Office wishes to inform all members that our General Meeting will be held this coming Sunday, 27 September 2026, at Aweil National Secondary School.

This will be our first General Meeting of the third term, and all members are warmly invited and strongly encouraged to attend.

This meeting is an important opportunity for us to come together, share ideas, listen to one another, and discuss matters concerning our association. Every member has a role to play, and your presence will make a difference.

Let us make this meeting a strong gathering of Paliet students. Please make every effort to arrive at the venue by 12:00 PM, and kindly encourage your fellow members to attend as well.

PSA belongs to all of us. When we come together, we strengthen our association and our unity.

Let us come together, participate, and strengthen the unity of our association.

A QUESTION FROM PALIET STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

Paliet Students’ Association (PSA) in Aweil remains committed to promoting unity, cooperation, participation, and the collective development of young people in our community.

As a student and youth association, we believe that every recognized youth organization should have an opportunity to participate, contribute ideas, and be informed about activities that concern our community. No youth association should feel left behind when decisions and activities are being organized for the benefit of our young people.

With this spirit of unity and constructive engagement, Paliet Students’ Association would like to respectfully raise a concern regarding the inclusion and participation of our association in some Aweil South County youth activities.

For example, during the Aweil South County Youth Associations’ election, our association was not called or given an opportunity to participate. Today, the Paliet Students’ Association in Universities and Higher Institutes – Wau held a fundraising event and Back to Learning Campaign, yet our association in Aweil was again not included.

This therefore raises an important question:

IS THIS HOW WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BUILD UNITY AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE?

Youth leadership should be built on inclusion, cooperation, consultation, transparency, and mutual respect. We may have different associations, structures, and responsibilities, but we remain connected by our community and our shared future.

Paliet Students’ Association is not raising this concern to create division or conflict. Rather, we are raising it because we believe that true unity requires inclusion.

If we truly believe that “UNITY IS POWER,” then every recognized youth association deserves to be respected, informed, consulted, and given an opportunity to participate in activities concerning our community.

We therefore call for greater communication, inclusion, and cooperation among all youth associations so that no organization
feels excluded or forgotten.

Our question is simple:

Are youth associations being sufficiently included in Aweil South County youth activities?

We welcome constructive views, clarification, and dialogue from fellow youth leaders and members of our community.

🎓 A STEP TOWARD A BRIGHTER FUTURE | PSA SUPPORTS BOL AKOT

The Paliet Students’ Association (PSA) is proud to share a moment that reflects the true purpose of our Association: supporting our students and investing in the future of our community.

Today, PSA has successfully paid the school fees of Bol Akot, a young Paliet student at Fountain View Academy Nursery, Primary & Secondary School in Aweil, enabling him to continue his education without the burden of unpaid fees.

This is more than a payment. It is hope. It is opportunity. It is a reminder that our children are not forgotten.

A total of 170,000 SSP was paid toward his school-related fees. This support represents a practical investment in Bol Akot’s education and future.

👏🏽 CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHAIRPERSON

The Paliet Students’ Association warmly congratulates its Chairperson, Wek Akoon Wek Akhot, for his leadership, commitment, and dedication to the vision of PSA.

Leadership is not only about holding a position—it is about turning vision into action and making a real difference in people’s lives.

We also appreciate every PSA member whose unity and commitment made this support possible.

SUCCESSFUL COMMUNITY VISIT | PSA 🤝🏽

The Paliet Students’ Association (PSA) Executive Committee and members have returned safely from Tiar Aliet Payam, Aweil South County, following a successful community visit.

During the visit, we had meaningful engagements with community leaders, elders, parents, Paliet sons and daughters, and other community members. We shared ideas, listened to concerns, and discussed ways of strengthening unity, education, and cooperation within our community.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who welcomed us, gave us their time, and contributed to the discussions.

PSA Leadership Visit to Tiar Aliet Payam

The Executive Committee of the Paliet Students’ Association (PSA), together with some members, will travel to Tiar Aliet Payam in Aweil South County for an important community visit.

During the visit, the team will meet with community leaders, elders, youth representatives, and other members of the community to strengthen relationships, listen to their views, discuss matters concerning Paliet students and the wider community, and explore ways of working together for the future.

This visit reflects PSA’s commitment to unity, dialogue, service, and community engagement.

📜 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PSA MEMBERS

The Constitution of the Paliet Students’ Association (PSA) was introduced during our last General Assembly meeting and is now being prepared for ratification.

All members are therefore encouraged to read the Constitution carefully and understand its provisions, including the purpose of the Association, membership rights and duties, leadership structure, elections, discipline, finances, meetings, and other important matters.

This Constitution will serve as the supreme governing document of PSA and will guide how we organize, lead, and work together as an Association.

🗓️ Ratification: The Constitution will be presented for ratification by the General Assembly.

📌 Your responsibility: Please take time to read it carefully, reflect on its provisions, and be prepared to participate responsibly in the ratification process.

📢 FINAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE SECOND TERM

The Paliet Students’ Association (PSA) will hold its last meeting of the Second Term. This meeting is important for all members as we come together to receive important updates, discuss association matters, and prepare for the upcoming break.

📅 Date: Sunday, 16 August 2026
🕛 Arrival Time: 12:00 PM
📍 Venue: Aweil National Secondary School

All members are encouraged to attend, participate actively, and receive the necessary information before travelling to their respective Payams.
