They had a fruitful discussion with our beneficiaries of Change: From Ground Up project (2023-2025) at Yolagou Village in Chueikeer Payam. There are only 6 people in the photo, but they represent a whole lot of South Sudan peacebuilding potential. Leaders from NewGen Peacebuilders and the Civic Engagement & Peacebuilding Initiative Consortium (CEPIC) are exploring the launch of a countrywide peer-to-peer mediation program, more youth peace ambassadors projects, and training for a corps of community-based peace project leaders.

CHICO is honored to announce the signing of a teaming agreement with the Civic Engagement and Peace Building Initiative Consortium (CEPIC). This milestone was officially witnessed on 12 March 2026 at CEPIC’s head office in Kololo, Juba, by Ms. Sylvia Nyoka, Executive Director, and Mr. Daniel Matiop, Operations Manager.

This partnership underscores CHICO’s commitment to advancing civic engagement and fostering sustainable peace through collaborative initiatives. By joining hands with CEPIC member Organizations, CHICO reaffirms its dedication to strengthening community resilience, promoting dialogue, and supporting inclusive development across South Sudan.
We look forward to the impactful work ahead as part of this consortium, working collectively to build a more peaceful and engaged society.
