Marial Baai–Chel-kou Feeder Road Officially Handed Over

A 19-kilometre feeder road linking Marial Baai to Chel-kou has been officially handed over, marking a significant step toward improving rural connectivity, livelihoods, and community resilience.
The project, funded by the European Union and implemented in collaboration with the World Food Programme, local authorities, and community leaders, is expected to enhance access to markets, services, and economic opportunities in the area.
Stakeholders expressed appreciation to all partners and community members whose contributions ensured the successful completion of the Chel-kou road.

Breaking News:JUBA, April 18— A Juba resident was robbed at gunpoint in the early hours of Friday morning, losing his vehicle, phone and cash, according to information provided by the victim.

Mayen Deng Nyibek said the incident occurred at approximately 3:18 a.m. after he had dropped off a client at her residence. While leaving the location, he reported that he was confronted by armed robbers who demanded his belongings at gunpoint.

Nyibek said one of the assailants suggested he be shot to avoid later identification, but he managed to escape.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2010 Toyota Ractis, bearing South Sudanese license plate number 492 CQ SSD. An iPhone 11 mini and an unspecified amount of money were also taken.

Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to contact 0920009847 or 0988884211.

Police have not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
