JCI Sustainability Week gelanceerd in Suriname 🎉 De 2026 JCI President Alejandra Castillo en 2026 National President Romario Sahai hebben gisteren een bezoek gebracht aan de vicepresident van de Republiek Suriname, de heer Gregory Rusland 🇸🇷

Het bezoek stond in het teken van de lancering van JCI Sustainability Week 2026 in Suriname, onder het thema “Building a Shared Future for All Life”. Dit jaar ligt in Suriname de focus op Water en Water Security, met aandacht voor bewustwording, samenwerking en duurzame oplossingen voor een toekomst waarin water beschikbaar en veilig blijft voor iedereen.

Tijdens het bezoek presenteerde Castillo tevens het wereldwijde Human Duties for Leaders-initiatief, dat in 2022 werd gestart. Het initiatief benadrukt dat leiderschap niet alleen gaat over rechten en verantwoordelijkheden, maar ook over de plicht om anderen te dienen, de samenleving te beschermen en verantwoordelijkheid te nemen voor toekomstige generaties.

Met de lancering van Sustainability Week wil JCI jongeren, leiders, organisaties en de samenleving inspireren om samen verantwoordelijkheid te nemen en van bewustwording naar concrete actie te gaan.

Last night, the National Board and Local Presidents had an informal dinner with JCI President, Alejandra Castillo. You know, every conversation is better when food is involved 🤗 We also used the moment to handover a Token of Appreciation, before her tight agenda kicks off.
