A day filled with𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲, where ideas were transformed into something tangible.

The Somali Institute of Architects (SIA), in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Somali National University (SNU) and iForge Company successfully organized an Advanced 3D Printing Workshop for engineering students under the theme:
"𝟯𝗗 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀."

The workshop provided students with hands-on experience in modern 3D printing technologies, demonstrating the complete process of transforming digital designs into real physical objects. Participants explored digital modeling, printer operation, material selection, machine calibration, and the practical applications of additive manufacturing in architecture, engineering, and product design.

This initiative reflects our shared commitment to equipping the next generation of engineers with advanced technical skills and innovative technologies that support education, research, and sustainable development in Somalia.

This training was attended by a group of Architecture students and was delivered by one of SIA's mentors, 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐫.
