Strengthening Safeguards Through Due Diligence

Building resilient communities begins with responsible, conflict-sensitive planning that protects land rights and promotes sustainable development.

As part of the , MARDO conducted due diligence assessments across Community-Driven Economic Livelihood (CDEL) sites identified for infrastructure development.

The assessments verified Housing, Land and Property (HLP) conditions, including land ownership, tenure arrangements, and potential risks to ensure planned investments were conflict-sensitive, legally compliant, and protected community rights.

By integrating HLP due diligence into project planning, is promoting transparency, reducing land-related risks, and laying the foundation for inclusive, resilient, and sustainable community development.

This activity was implemented by MARDO in partnership with Concern Worldwide under the AARAN Programme, with funding from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office
