Commemoration of World Metrology Day 2026
The Somali Engineers Association today participated in the commemoration of World Metrology Day 2026, organized by the Somali Bureau of Standards.
The event highlighted the importance of accurate measurement in enabling sound decision-making. From trade and innovation to public health and emerging technologies, reliable measurement forms the foundation for evidence-based policymaking and public trust. The theme of this yearโs celebration was โBuilding Trust in Policy Making.โ
The SEA delegation emphasized the importance of strengthening quality infrastructure, measurement standards, and technical cooperation among relevant institutions. This is essential to support Somaliaโs development agenda, promote fair trade, enhance industrial growth, and improve the delivery of public services.
The Somali Engineers Association reaffirmed its commitment to advancing quality, professionalism, and technical excellence in support of national development and institutional capacity building.
