Local Conferences of Youth Somalia (LCOY Somalia) 2025, endorsed by YOUNGO—the UNFCCC’s official youth constituency—are back for their second edition following the success of last year’s inaugural event. Local Conferences of Youth (LCOY) are events by YOUNGO, the official children and youth constituency to the United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC), and this will be the first LCOY in Somalia 2024

After weeks of regional dialogues and two powerful days of the Main LCOY Somalia 2025 in Mogadishu, our journey concludes with hope, action, and a renewed commitment to inclusive climate resilience.

Day 2 wrapped up with policy recommendations, youth-led solutions, and a shared vision for a greener and safer Somalia — where every voice counts.

From Baidoa to Jowhar, Garowe to Mogadishu, young Somalis have spoken: the future of climate action must be inclusive, innovative, and locally driven.
