The chairlady of Somali Women Advocacy Association (SWAA), Mrs. Yusra Omar Shire participated in an important two-day training on protecting the rights of women and children and reducing violence against them. The training was organized by EUCAP Somalia in collaboration with the Ministry of Family Affairs and Human Rights Development.

The training focused on strengthening cooperation between key institutions, particularly the national helpline, the police, and the Ministry of Family Affairs, to better support survivors of abuse and ensure access to justice.

The training was highly informative and meaningful, helping to raise awareness about the importance of protecting women and children. It also coincided with International Women’s Day, highlighting the vital role of women in society and the ongoing efforts to end violence against women and children.
