Over 2,000 vulnerable children receive Islamic Relief Eidul Fitr Gifts in Somalia.

Every year, Islamic Relief undertakes seasonal programs to support various populations around the globe through food packages, meat, and Eid gifts to orphan children and others who are unable to purchase clothing during festival days.

Islamic Relief Somalia gave out Eid presents in 2024 to children who were orphaned throughout the country as well as those living in camps but whose families were unable to provide them with clothing.

These clothes were given out over 2,000 children by Islamic Relief in the Somalia’s town of Qardho, Balcad and Baidoa of Bari, Bay and Middle Shabelle regions of Somalia.

The following gifts were given to the kids, who were both boys and girls. Boys: trousers, belt, shirt, boots and socks and girls: hijaab, trousers, shoes and dress.

Islamic Relief Somalia started distributing of food packages for Ramadan throughout the country. Over 6,700 food kits are being distributed to those in need across the country. The people are given 25 kg flour, 25 kg sugar, 25 kg rice, 5 liters cooking oil, and 5 kilogram dates.
We are grateful to the contributors for their generous support to Somalia's most people in need during this holy Ramadan month.

Islamic Relief Somalia commemorates International Women's Day .

International Women's Day (IWD) is a worldwide celebration of the achievements of women and a call for action towards women rights. IWD is honored every year on March 8th, and this year, Islamic Relief Somalia celebrated and marked the day with women in the community, particularly IDPs in Daynile area, under the hashtag . The ladies who attended the event expressed their joy and shared some of their stories and experiences, while also thanking Islamic Relief for arranging the event and assisting vulnerable women around the world.

Hawa Ambura Mahad, 55, who was among the women commemorating International Women's Day, stated, "It is a great honor for all women around the world to celebrate this day." As women, we are the backbone of every community in the world. We are grateful to Islamic Relief for organizing and hosting such wonderful activities that empower women in general; happy day to all women."
