Kaashif Development Initiatives KAASHIF was founded in March 20, 1996 by a group of Somali intellectuals with diverse professional backgrounds and from different regions.

KAASHIF, translated means “saviors,” is non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Mogadishu and operates in Hirshabelle, Southwest and Galmudug States of Somalia to provide humanitarian and developmental assistance to crises -affected people. fices in Middle Shabelle, Lower Shabelle, Bay & Bakol, and Central regions of Somalia. The main objective was to rally resources and work towards alleviating suffering and engendering hope to Somali community particularly the vulnerable groups affected by the civil war including women, children, the elderly, handicapped, the very poor and the displaced. KAASHIF closely works with the local communities, local authorities and regional administrations, and civil society organizations, International Organizations, UN agencies and other donors to realize its mission of restoring peace, overcoming poverty and reaching self-reliance.
