For families in Kismayo, the struggle for water is an everyday reality. WASDA was on the ground to change that. By delivering emergency water trucking and essential household kits, we are bringing relief to 700 vulnerable families who have been hit hardest by the ongoing drought.

From safe water storage to basic hygiene items, every item distributed is a step toward dignity and stability. Grateful to our partner, Stichting Vluchteling, for standing with us to provide this life-saving support for 4,200 individuals in need.

Knowledge is the foundation of a healthy community. This past Saturday, as part of our regular weekly health outreach, the MTMG4 (Batch 4) team held an interactive awareness session for mothers and families in the region.
The focus? Vital practices that save lives: exclusive breastfeeding, balanced nutrition, and hygiene. By meeting every Saturday, we aren’t just sharing information; we are building a consistent support system that empowers families to take charge of their children's health and well-being.

Together, we are strengthening community resilience, one session at a time.

In the Kismayo District, access to clean water is a lifeline, not a luxury. In partnership with Stichting Vluchteling, WASDA is currently implementing an emergency water trucking project reaching 700 vulnerable households. By providing 4,200 individuals in locations like 𝗤𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮, 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗱𝗮, 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗾𝗮𝘁𝗮, 𝗧𝘂𝗹𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗾𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝘀𝗹𝗲 with safe water, we are mitigating the risk of waterborne diseases and supporting the resilience of IDPs and host communities. Together, we are ensuring no one is left behind during this two-month critical intervention.
