Our hearts swell with pride as we celebrate 30 incredible graduates who have completed vocational training in Sewing, Solar Energy Repair, and Plumbing under the PROSPER-SOCO project! 🎓
On February 11, 2025, Somali Youth Vision (SYV), in collaboration with ANPPCAN-SOM and funded by GCERF, hosted a vibrant graduation ceremony honoring these resilient young individuals. These skills aren’t just tools—they’re keys to opportunity, bridges to peace, and foundations for a stronger Somalia.

Each stitch sewn, every solar panel fixed, and each pipe repaired symbolizes hope for their futures and the healing of communities. 💪🌍 Together, we’re breaking cycles of vulnerability and building pathways to prosperity.

To our graduates: You are the architects of change. Your courage inspires us all! 🕊️
To our partners: Thank you for turning vision into action.

At ANPPCAN-SOM, we are dedicated to alleviating poverty and building resilient communities in Somalia. By empowering women and youth through small-scale entrepreneurship and employment initiatives, we aim to create sustainable livelihoods and reduce vulnerability to shocks.

"Empowerment of the most vulnerable members of our society is within the core values of ANPPCAN-SOM. Between June 29th and 30th, 2024, we held Social and Economic Empowerment Training Workshops in both Baidoa and Hudur towns, targeting 60 to 120 small-scale businesswomen and persons with disabilities. The purpose of this intervention was to enhance their business capacity and offer them a financial support of $200 each as a grant."

Our workshops aimed to improve customer satisfaction, enhance business management knowledge, foster teamwork, ensure accurate data entry, and provide financial support. We extend our sincerest gratitude to all participants and sponsors who made this initiative possible. Together, we are building a better, more inclusive future.

Access to clean water and proper sanitation is a fundamental right. ANPPCAN-SOM is committed to scaling up our WASH initiatives to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene conditions in Somalia. With community-led total sanitation approaches, awareness campaigns, and the installation of child-friendly and gender-sensitive WASH facilities, we aim to prevent water-related diseases and improve overall health. We work with partners too to ensure every community has access to safe water and sanitation.
