We are excited to announce that has been selected to implement a groundbreaking new peacebuilding project: , under the ’s_Innovation_Grants_initiative.

With coordination and partnership from , regional backing from , and generous support from the Government of , we’re putting Somali youth, especially young women at the forefront of resolving conflicts over land, water, and natural resources.

Here's how we're leading the change:
📻 Radio Drama Production: We're developing powerful, Somali-language radio dramas that bring land and resource conflicts to life and model peaceful solutions for thousands of listeners.

🛡️ Youth Peace Ambassador Training: We are training the next generation of young peace leaders in mediation, advocacy, and leadership, with a strong focus on young women’s voices.

🤝 Community Engagement: Our youth ambassadors will lead community dialogues to transform tensions over shared resources into lasting cooperation.

💬 Women’s Story Circles & Economic Initiatives: We're creating safe spaces where women can share, heal, and plan—linking peacebuilding directly to women’s economic empowerment and leadership.

Why this matters:
Land is our heritage, our livelihood, and our future. When youth and women lead, peace is built from the roots up.

We thank , , and the people and Government of for their trust and partnership. Together, we're sowing seeds of peace across Somalia.

is pleased to have taken part in the Anticipatory Action Learning Series held in from 27–29 November. Together with Somalia, we joined and local organisations from around the world for three days of practical learning on early warning, preparedness, and crisis anticipation.

The sessions strengthened our understanding of how communities can act before displacement or conflict, and how diaspora networks can support locally led solutions.

Sharing these cultural group photos, a reminder of the diversity, solidarity, and global spirit that made the workshop so meaningful.
