​SPL waxay aaminsan tahay in dhallinyaro awood leh ay yihiin saldhigga Soomaaliya nabdoon oo horumarsan. Codkooda, fikradahooda, iyo dadaalkooda joogtada ah waxay horseedayaan isbeddel wanaagsan iyo midnimo bulsho.

Somali Peace Line (SPL) successfully conducted a 3-day training on the Establishment of Community-Based Protection Network (CBPN) in drought-affected communities of Beledweyne, with the support of ActionAid International.

The training brought together a diverse group of participants, including IDPs, host community members, community leaders, youth groups, women groups, protection partners, and local authorities. This inclusive approach ensured strong community engagement and ownership in addressing protection challenges.

The primary objective of the training was to strengthen community-based systems for GBV risk mapping and safety action planning, enabling communities to identify risks, develop practical solutions, and enhance their resilience against protection threats.

SPL remains committed to promoting community-led protection mechanisms and fostering safer, more resilient communities in Somalia.

In Baidoa, Somali Peace Line (SPL), in partnership with the Life & Peace Institute, conducted a two-day workshop on the National Reconciliation Framework (NRF) and youth policy.
The training brought together thirty youth participants and moderators, along with six members of the Baidoa NRF Platform. It aimed to deepen their knowledge of civic responsibilities and the rights they hold as citizens.

With support from , Somali Peace Line (SPL), in collaboration with Life & Peace Institute, hosted a three-day training in Galkayo on nonviolent political participation and electoral processes. The training aimed to equip youth and community actors with the knowledge and skills needed to engage responsibly in democratic processes during Somalia’s ongoing political transition.

The sessions brought together SD moderators and youth participants, creating a platform for learning, dialogue, and reflection on the role of citizens in promoting peaceful political outcomes. Participants explored electoral systems, citizens’ rights and responsibilities, and the importance of nonviolent engagement in political spaces.

Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, participants strengthened their understanding of how responsible civic participation can contribute to peaceful and inclusive elections in their communities.
