A canvas for youth, a vision for peace. 🎨

During our public forum, organized with Nabaad, the Arts 4 Peace session created a space for creativity, reflection and dialogue on the role of youth in peace and security.

Abdinasir Abdikadir, Artist and Founder of 4C Arts Studio, brought these reflections to life through live painting, translating ideas of peace, youth participation and social cohesion into visual expression.

75% of ’s population is young, yet young people remain underrepresented in formal peacebuilding mechanisms.🙂

So, what would Somalia’s peacebuilding process look like if young people were truly at the centre?

On 05 October in Mogadishu, we convened a public forum to explore how Somalia can re-imagine its peacebuilding process by placing youth at the centre.🕊️

The conversation focused on moving young people from consultation to meaningful participation, influence and decision-making.🙌🏿

The forum featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, an Arts 4 Peace session, and an informal networking among panelists, participants and our 2026 YPS trainees.

In collaboration with Nabaad.🤝
