Causes of of infant abdominal distention????

Infant abdominal distention, or a swollen and hard belly, can be caused by common, harmless issues like gas and constipation, as well as more serious conditions such as milk intolerance, intestinal blockages, or sepsis. While gas is a frequent cause, especially after feeding, you should contact a pediatrician if your baby's abdomen is swollen and hard, has not had a bowel movement for a day or two, is accompanied by vomiting, or has other concerning symptoms like fever, irritability, or changes in breathing.
