The Federation of Jubaland Trade Unions (FEJTU) proudly joins the global community in commemorating the International Day of Peace 2025. This day reminds us that peace is not only the absence of conflict but also the presence of justice, dignity, and respect for all. For workers and their families, peace represents the foundation upon which fair labor practices, decent livelihoods, and sustainable development can flourish.
The pursuit of peace remains essential to ensuring that workers’ rights are safeguarded and their voices heard. Trade unions play a vital role in fostering dialogue, reducing inequality, and promoting social cohesion. By championing the rights of workers, FEJTU contributes to building an inclusive society where justice and fairness are central pillars of peace.
This year’s observance calls for a renewed commitment to cooperation and solidarity. Peace can only be achieved when governments, institutions, civil society, and workers stand together in partnership. FEJTU reaffirms its dedication to peaceful solutions, constructive engagement, and advocacy for labor rights as part of a broader vision of social stability and prosperity.
On this International Day of Peace, FEJTU calls upon all stakeholders to strengthen dialogue, uphold human rights, and invest in opportunities that empower people. By advancing both peace and social justice, we can create a future where every worker, every family, and every community in can thrive in security, dignity, and hope.
